Rebecca Herwick, 45, took over the leadership of Global Products, Inc. in 1999, a licensee and distributor of Harley-Davidson paraphernalia and other specialty novelty items based in St. Peters, Missouri. The company has annual revenue of more than $12 million, 90 employees, and is currently expanding overseas, with distribution centers in Canada and Europe and another planned for China. Rebecca Herwick, president and CEO of Saint Peters, Missouri-based distributor Global Products Inc., learned at an early age that with hard work, commitment and honor, she could create an environment beneficial to those around her. "When I was eight years old, my father left our family; and my Icelandic mother, who was not yet a U.S. citizen, began studying the English language so she could pass the citizenship exam. Soon she was able to provide for my brother and me by earning a cosmetology degree," says Herwick. Rebecca received her B.S. degree in Chemistry from McKendree College in Lebanon, IL and began her career as a research chemist in 1981. In 1983 she jumped over to become general manager in a motorcycle accessory distribution company. She quickly advanced in her position as she established manufacturing capabilities in 1992. In 1995, after her instrumental involvement in securing the Harley-Davidson license, she was promoted to Vice-President.
