Herwick named to National Women's Business Council

Rebecca Herwick, president and chief executive officer of Global Products Inc., was appointed to a three-year term on the National Women's Business Council.
The council is a bipartisan federal government council comprised of prominent women business owners and leaders of women's business organization. It serves as an independent source of advice and counsel to the President, Congress and the U.S. Small Business Administration on economic issues of importance to women business owners.
"I am honored to become a member of the National Women's Business Council and to have the opportunity to represent the nation's women entrepreneurs to the President, Congress, and the SBA," Herwick said in a statement. "Working with the council, I look forward to using my experience as a successful business owner to promote federal policies that support women entrepreneurs and the growth of their businesses."
St. Peters-based Global Products is a designer, manufacturer and distributor of custom and novelty logoed merchandise. The company was the 11th largest women-owned business in St. Louis based on 2005 revenue of $15 million, according to St. Louis Business Journal research.
